CISMID installed 7 acceleration sensors in the Emergency Operations Centers (COEN), 3 in a house inside the project study area in the Chorillos district, and 4 in the headquarters of The National Training Service for the Construction Industry (SENCICO) to observe the structural health of their buildings in real-time. This system will be used to observe the vibrations of its structures 24h a day, detecting possible damage in real-time in case of eventual earthquake and tsunami emergencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Japanese mission of the Earthquake Research Institute (ERI) of the University of Tokyo, led by Professor Koichi Kusunoki, arrived in Lima to install ITK acceleration sensors and single-board computers as monitoring servers, acquired as part of the SATREPS project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the activities proposed by SATREPS, led by CISMID-UNI and the University of Tokyo, it is expected to install this observation system of structural health in different buildings; COEN-INDECI has been the first Peruvian institution in the context of this project.
