<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The prestigious Japanese journal on disaster risk reduction, Journal of Disaster Research (JDR), published a special issue with the progress of the SATREPS project, “Development of Integrated Expert System for Estimation and Observation of Damage Level of Infrastructure in Lima Metropolitan Area.”<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The JDR Editorial Committee JDR selected ten papers with topics in the fields of earthquake hazards, building and infrastructure damage estimation, damage estimation with satellite imagery, and human loss estimation. These papers were published in the JDR Special Issue Vol. 18, No. 4 in June 2023 and are authored and co-authored by CISMID researchers and their Japanese counterparts from the different working groups of the SATREPS project. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) and the coordination of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), these papers are fully Open Access under Creative Commons (CC) licenses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The JDR focuses on publishing papers related to disaster reduction, prevention, mitigation, response, and recovery, as well as the impacts of these disasters on human society. Also, this journal is indexed in ESCI, Scopus, Compendex (Ei), and DOAJ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
