Dr. Takuya Nagae and Dr. Satoshi Tanaka, members of group 4 “Disaster Risk Management,” arrived in Lima. On Tuesday 19, they had a coordination meeting with researchers from the Peruvian counterpart and related institutions such as CENEPRED; they also visited the Center for Awareness and Learning on Earthquakes and Tsunamis (CESATT) at CISMID.
On Wednesday 20, they held the SATREPS project workshop, which showed the progress of the damage assessment system being developed for representatives of municipalities and public institutions in the study area.
