On September 28, CISMID received the visit of the Ambassador of Japan, Mr. Kazuyuki Katayama, for the introduction of the JICA expert who will participate in the SATREPS project. Project led by CISMID-FIC-UNI and the Seismic Research Institute of the University of Tokyo-Japan.
Mr. Hisato Uematsu joins as a Japanese counterpart in the development of an integrated expert system for the observation and estimation of the level of damage in the structures of Lima. The ceremony was also attended by Mr. Takeharu Nakagawa, resident representative of JICA in Peru, Mag. Lic. Carlos Aníbal De Souza Ferreyra, Secretary General of the National University of Engineering, Dr. Pedro Canales on behalf of UNI Rector, and the Msc. Eng. Wilfredo Gutiérrez, Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering – UNI.
